"An innovative outsourcing of the Museum--of, by and for people" Calling artists, collectors, hobbyists and performers to create exhibits on private (and public) property under the aegis of a highly interactive website registry. Website features will include an online exhibit rating system, the use of geolocation and augmented reality tech, and the facilitation of social interactions--with an emphasis on travel, discovery, community building and placemaking. Scalability of the registry offers further opportunities for visitors to interact with an exhibit's locale; from sites of interest to participating area businesses. This model essentially outsources both exhibit production and exhibit space to the public. Significant tax benefits to private property owners and exhibit producers would offer further incentive for growth. |
